About Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Manchester

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Manchester in Manchester, NH has operated as a Gracie University affiliate since 2011, teaching structured self-defense to adults - most of whom had never set foot in a martial arts school. It runs the licensed Gracie University curricula: Gracie Combatives as the co-ed beginner program, Women Empowered, and the Master Cycle for advanced study. The school is explicitly not built around competition and has no requirement to compete, spar aggressively or already be athletic, and reports a roughly 50/50 balance of women and men on the mat. Every instructor is individually certified by Gracie University and must recertify on an ongoing basis, so the same sequence is taught the same way whoever is teaching. Head instructor Ross White is a brown belt with more than 15 years in the Gracie University system, teaching alongside brown belt Colton Chaloux and blue belt Maddie, who leads Women Empowered.
