About Pure Mixed Martial Arts
Pure Mixed Martial Arts was opened in Rockaway in 2012 by brothers Andy and Mike Main, national and international MMA and grappling champions, and has grown into one of the largest martial arts facilities in Morris County with around 70 classes a week, seven days a week. The timetable covers gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at all levels, women's-only gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, kids jiu-jitsu from age three, kids and adult karate, Muay Thai and kickboxing, an invite-only MMA fight-team sparring session and a law-enforcement-only class. The academy describes itself as a Team USA certified facility and lists Tae Kwon Do, wrestling and judo among its programmes; a second location is opening in Boonton.
