About U A Jiu Jitsu
UA Jiu Jitsu (United Art / Upper Arlington Jiu-Jitsu) opened in 2011 in Clintonville, Columbus, north of OSU, when three Relson Gracie black belts joined forces; it has since become a co-op of instructors and students. Its curriculum is built on mixed-level basics, with beginners and advanced adults training in the same small classes under black belt instruction, and its roots trace to Dr. Jeff Hudson, who founded the second Gracie training association in the United States in Columbus. The weekly timetable is mostly Mixed Levels classes plus a Friday open mat and a Thursday women's self-defense class; the kids' anti-bullying program is currently on hiatus.
