Power of Jiu-Jitsu (POJ) is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy at 650 College Park Rd in Goose Creek, South Carolina, running gi classes, no-gi classes and open mats with at least two instructors present at every open mat. Its coaching staff are competition-focused: Young Liu, a brown belt under Professor Aniss El Hajjajy and the 2026 IBJJF Pan champion; Justin Mata, a 2nd-degree judo black belt and USA Judo elite who coaches takedowns; and Danny Howell, a purple belt with an aggressive no-gi pressure game. Membership is a single month-to-month plan with no minimum commitment, drop-ins are welcome from any school or rank, and the academy sells its own gi and rash guard line.
