About Bujin Ki Ryu JuJitsu
Black Hills Bujin Ki Ryu Jujitsu Honbu at 2200 N. Maple Drive in the Uptown Rapid Mall, Rapid City, South Dakota, is owned and run by Julio 'Mutch' Usera, Hanshi, 10th Dan, the grand master of Bujin Ki Ryu Jujitsu and Shorinji Ryu Jujitsu. The dojo teaches traditional Japanese jujitsu through a belt-graded technique syllabus with sparring, grappling and self-defence sets, alongside Matsumura Shorin-Ryu karate, United States Taiho Jutsu defensive tactics for law enforcement and military, and self-defence workshops for groups and businesses. Youth aged 7-12 train Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and co-ed teen and adult classes run those same evenings. Nine black belt instructors teach under Hanshi Usera, and affiliated dojos run under his programme in Florida, South Dakota, Utah and Minnesota.
