BJJ in Forney

Forney, east of Dallas along US-80, hosts **New Life Jiu Jitsu Academy**, founded in 1999 and led by black belt Kahana Cordeiro under Robson Moura (RMNU). Cordeiro was named RMNU Teacher of the Year and has a recent competition record that includes gold at the 2025 IBJJF Houston International Open and Austin Winter Open at black belt. The Academy runs gi, kids, and self-defense programs with a free introductory lesson. Wolfpack Mixed Martial Arts also claims a Forney location as one of its three DFW branches (the main gym is in Rockwall), adding an MMA-hybrid BJJ option for residents of this fast-growing exurb.
