BJJ in Grapevine

Grapevine, between DFW Airport and Southlake, is represented by **Nexus Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu**, a community-based program that opened in September 2024 inside The REC of Grapevine, the city's municipal recreation facility. Head instructor James is a 2nd-degree black belt with a lineage tracing through Yousef Alirezaei (Star BJJ/Sambo World Champion), Allen Mohler, and Romero Cavalcanti (Alliance) back to Rolls Gracie; co-instructor Jill is a 1st-degree black belt (2023) under the Carlos Machado/Carlos Gracie Jr. line. Registration runs through the City of Grapevine's Amilia platform, making this one of the more accessible entry points to BJJ for residents who prefer a municipal setting over a standalone academy. Gi-focused curriculum; kids classes available.
