About Chesapeake Grappling Academy
Chesapeake Grappling Academy runs adult and youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a full judo programme in Chesapeake, Virginia, with fundamentals, intermediate, gi and no-gi classes from age four upward. It is led by owner and head instructor Greg Walker, a third-degree BJJ black belt under Gustavo Machado who came to jiu-jitsu through wrestling — folkstyle from 2000, then freestyle and Greco-Roman through high school, and an alternate spot on the All Navy Wrestling Team — was introduced to BJJ after transferring to Virginia Beach with the US Navy in 2008 and earned his black belt in 2014, with Muay Thai under Roderick Melvin and professional MMA experience besides. Brandon Radicalberger heads the judo programme, with Michael Wagner on adult BJJ and Josh Harton on adult and youth judo.
