About Grappler's Garage

Grappler's Garage has trained the 757 area of Virginia Beach in wrestling, jiu-jitsu and submission grappling since 2020, with programmes for complete newcomers through experienced martial artists, plus camps and a barbell club. Head coach Jorge Otero brings more than 20 years of coaching and over 40 years of competitive wrestling, and still competes — most recently at the U.S. Open Masters Division. He is joined by Coach Jim Mercantini, strength and conditioning coach Ben Clemens, and, each summer, Division I wrestlers Hayato Otero of VMI and Yuta Otero of UT Chattanooga.
