Newborn Cascao Jiu-Jitsu at 3024 N. Monroe in Spokane, Washington was founded by James Weed, a 3rd degree black belt under Walter 'Cascao' Vital, and is the Spokane branch of Cascao Jiu Jitsu. It runs adult BJJ in gi and no-gi from 6am through evening slots, kids classes for ages 7-9 and 10-14, Muay Thai for kids and adults, a Saturday fundamentals class and a Saturday open mat. Weed has built a team of World and Pan-American champions at every belt colour since moving from Las Vegas, and is the head BJJ coach for UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa.
