About The Trench Jiu-Jitsu
The Trench Jiu-Jitsu at 4125 49th Ave NE in Northeast Tacoma, Washington was founded in 2024 by Professor David Veloria and opened in late that year. It teaches jiu-jitsu to kids, teens and adults at every experience level, with a curriculum students describe as a mix of self-defense and sport BJJ: 'Little Sharks' for ages 5-10, 'Junior Sharks' for teens, adult classes, and a women's class taught by Professor Sherry. The school frames its programmes around self-defense, fitness, self-discipline, anti-bullying and confidence.
