About Mountain State Jiu-Jitsu
Mountain State Jiu-Jitsu in South Charleston, West Virginia is a member of the Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Association under Xande Ribeiro and of the Jiu-Jitsu For Life Team, with a lineage running through Saulo and Xande Ribeiro and Chris Blanke, their first American black belt. It runs kids' jiu-jitsu, adult fundamentals, open mat, a combined children-and-adult competition class and a women's-only class, and also teaches defensive tactics to military and law enforcement - eight of its instructors are certified in Gracie Combatives for military and law enforcement. It is a private academy that admits drop-ins only from other Ribeiro or Six Blades academies.
