About EIR Boxing & Fitness Academy
Elephant in the Room Boxing Club (EIR) is a non-profit, co-ed amateur boxing gym in New Haven, Connecticut, founded by Executive Director Devonne Canady, a gold-medalist amateur world champion and pediatric nurse. It runs adult boxing programs and a youth program built around an after-school component and an onsite social worker, taught by nationally licensed instructors, plus "Beat PD Today", a boxing-based exercise class for people with Parkinson's. EIR also provides training, management and promotion for professional boxers, and is open Monday to Friday 4:00-8:00pm.
