About Team Haanpaa Martial Arts
Team Haanpaa Martial Arts is a Rockford, Illinois school teaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu, fitness kickboxing/Muay Thai striking, kids' martial arts and women's classes, serving Rockford, Beloit and the state line area. It is led by head instructor and programs director Darby Allen, a BJJ black belt under Jeff Curran who trained in Muay Thai, boxing, MMA and jiu-jitsu at Curran Martial Arts before founding the school with his wife Amanda in a wrestling club near the Rockford airport. The academy is an official training centre of the Team Curran Jiu-Jitsu Association, and Professor Curran visits regularly to oversee belt promotions and teach seminars.
