About Universal Kempo Karate (Prairie Winds)

Prairie Winds Kempo at 6002 US Hwy 30 #D2 in Cheyenne, Wyoming is a branch of the Universal Kempo-Karate Schools Association, founded in 1981 by Grand Master Martin T. Buell, whose style also draws on judo and kali. The branch opened in July 2014 when Corey and Justine Jacobsen bought the school from their instructor Greg Colbaugh. Classes cover kickboxing, submission grappling and weapons for children and adults in deliberately small groups, and the school runs a free self-defense class for community groups of six to twenty people, having taught churches, colleges and teachers.
